A behind-the-scenes look at how I turned one beach shoot idea into four impactful deliverables. It's a reminder that with strategy and intention, your ideas can multiply.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how Jesus taught.
He could take something as simple as a seed, a vineyard, or a fisherman’s net, and unlock Kingdom truths that could feed the soul.
This project reminded me of that.
I had a simple idea — a vintage-inspired beach shoot.
Just a seed.
Then one day, Vacation sent me their SPF 30 Shimmer Oil Mousse. I didn’t overthink it. I didn’t wait for the “perfect” brand deal or the “ideal” campaign setup. Instead, I asked myself, How can this seed grow?
So I took what I already had — a client, a location, an idea — and I planted the product right into that vision.
The results?
One seed. Many branches.
That’s how the Kingdom works too.
When God gives you a gift, a word, or an idea, He’s never thinking of just one outcome. He’s thinking of the overflow — the ripple effect — the fruit that comes when you steward what you’ve been given.
Too often, we bury our ideas under perfectionism, fear, or waiting for the “big break.” But Jesus reminds us in the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25) — the one who multiplied what they were given heard, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
I’m learning that in creativity, as in faith, stewardship is everything.
If you’ve been given one seed — one idea, one open door, one client, one opportunity — don’t wait for more before you move.
Plant it. Water it. Multiply it.
Because sometimes, the “spec ad” you create in faith can become the testimony that opens the next door.
