This blog post shares how incorporating pitch decks into the branding process transformed both the author's business and her identity as a creative professional.
For a long time, I believed that the degrees I earned were stepping stones for corporate advancement. I thought they were the key to a secure future—a place at the table I was told to strive for. But if I’m being honest? That table never really had a seat reserved for me. It wasn’t until I surrendered the plan I had for myself and allowed God to lead that I realized everything I learned, every tool I gained, would be used for His purpose, not mine.
Nothing is wasted in the Kingdom.
This season of rebranding has been deeply personal. God has been pulling out of me the very gifts, skill sets, and ideas that had been lying dormant. What once felt "extra" or "unused" is now a core part of how I serve others with clarity and confidence.
One of those unexpected shifts? Pitch decks.
Yes, pitch decks.
As a photographer, creative director, and content strategist, I used to focus solely on visuals—but God began showing me the gaps. My clients were overwhelmed. The think work—the mental load of mapping out their brand vision, structure, and rollout—was holding them back. They were talented, but stuck. And I realized: I could bridge that gap. I could seethe story, structure the strategy, and present the plan in a way that felt powerful and clear.
So I began creating pitch decks as part of the branding experience. These weren’t just pretty slides—they were tools of alignment. They help my clients:
And in doing so, it positioned me as a strategic partner and industry expert.
This wasn’t something I saw coming. But it was something God had already prepared me for. From my degrees in Mass Communications and Strategic Communication to years of storytelling and content building—He was connecting the dots the whole time.
Through Him, I can do all things.
And I’m seeing the fruit. Not just because I’ve prayed and waited, but because I’ve also worked. I’ve tested. I’ve built. I’ve served. I’ve sown. And I continue to believe that when you sow in faith, there will always be a harvest in purpose.
So here’s your reminder: you don’t have to throw your degrees, gifts, or past experiences away. Give them back to God and let Him repurpose them for His glory. Your business, your brand, your becoming might just be the vessel He uses to do it.
