Read About How I Edit Pictures & My Favorite Apps To Use

Hey Girl Hey!

Happy Friday- Eve y'all! I pray that your day is going super well for you. Today is running smooth for me and I pray that it continues once these children come home this afternoon lol. Moving right along, many of you have inquired about the clarity of my pictures and some have even questioned the type of camera I use. So here’s the tea, I use a photographer for about 75% of my pictures and the remainder 25% I take myself with my android. Before you even start, I am not team iphone YET. I am highly considering investing in an iphone though.

Anyways, my best friend takes a big portion of my pictures and my daughters Godmother does as well. The pictures I've gotten from them come to me unedited and I edit the photos so that they align with my aesthetic. I don’t necessarily have one main color that I use but, I love a sharpened bronzed look to all my photos almost like a glow. I have two other photographers that I’ve used and they’ve actually edited the photos and I may just go in and sharpen it up so that it flows consistently with the rest of the picture on my feed.

Since stepping into the influencer/Content Creator/ Blogger scene I have grown to really enjoy editing my pictures. All you need is a little patience, Google, or Youtube University and you’re ready to go! For the past 5 months now, I have been using (3) apps that have been game changers for me. I’m not always walking around with my laptop in my hand and spend a lot of time editing on my phone or my ipad. (I have all apple products except the phone lol). Today, I’m sharing my 3 favorite apps for editing pictures on the go.

My Three Favorite Editing Apps

VSCO

VSCO was the first app that I started using to edit my pictures. I watched a youtube video created by Jene at highlowluxxe and she shared a video called “How to edit pictures for Instagram” it was her that put me onto 2/3 of my favorite editing apps. I like to use VSCO to have control over specific aspects like contrast, temperature, and shadows. I use Portrait Mode and “A1” and “A6” to give me that dewy bronzy look I love. I use the sharpen, clarity, and skin tone tools the most and lastly, I use the split tone feature to enhance whatever color I’m wearing. I find myself using the red shadow tint the most.

LightRoom CC

I learned about Lightroom through my friend and daughters Godmother. She Edits some amazing pictures. I use lightroom on my phone, but I spend majority of my time with lightroom on my macbook. I haven't used presets to edit my pictures but, I have some loaded into the app. I like to use lightroom to,sharpen, and enhance the clarity of my photos as well. One thing I love about Lightroom is that you can choose edited color presets that range from bright, contrast, high contrast & detail etc.

SnapSeed

Last but not least, Snapseed! Snapseed is by far my favorite app to edit in. You can make your picture as dramatic or as smooth and natural as you want. There is the option to sharpen and enhance the structure of you picture in the “detail tool option” if you’re not savvy in Photoshop you can clone yourself in this app. Check out Ijeoma Kola’s youtube channel for a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it. This app is by far next level.

P.S.- Comment below with some of your favorite photo editing apps.
